Psalm 103

"Bless the Lord o my soul,
And forget not all His benefits.
Who forgives all your iniquity,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
Who satisfies you with good, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."

About a year ago the promises held in Psalm 103:2-5 began taking a deeper and daily stake on my life.  I needed the gospel boiled down, I needed the unchanging truths boiled down, I needed to have the promises of God memorized - ones that would never change, ones that He's already accomplished for me, and the ones He says He will see come to fruition. 

Because otherwise, I become a washed up rag, absorbed in the troubles of my day, struggles of my heart, or issues around me. Always wanting, never satisfied.  Lack and despair so easily become a wall - keeping me from seeing what I already have in Christ and what He's already done.
